Overview
Estia Faire is a roleplaying group set in a Regency-era inspired fantasy world filled with drama, intricate relationships, and high-stakes diplomacy, romance, and rivalry. Forge alliances, betray confidences, and manipulate events as you navigate the complex social hierarchy of the elite. The Season is about to begin, and alongside the opulent balls and lavish tea parties comes a new wave of scandals.
No combat besides duels for one’s honour, Estia Faire instead focuses on relationships - both friend and foe. Who do you wish to be seen with? Who do you wish to see burn? Who are you loyal to? Who should you be wary of?
Name
Estia is a more feminine twist to Estio, which means “summer” — but also Estia means the centre of the home /hearth, derived from the Greek goddess hestia.
“Faire” is derived from the French term “ laissez-faire” meaning “allow to do”. This is both for the narrative implication of nobility being allowed to do whatever they want as well as hopefully indicating the freedoms I wish members to have in this group.
